Another Vietnam or not...

From ABC News:

Weapons inspectors in Iraq are reported to have discovered documents relating to nuclear arms technology.

Head of the United Nations nuclear agency, Mohamed ElBaradei, says the information was not included in the weapons dossier handed to the Security Council last month.

Mr ElBaradei says 3,000 pages of documents were found at the home of Iraqi scientist, Faleh Hassan.

He says the disovery is unlikely to constitute a trigger for military action against Iraq, but raises serious questions.

"Why did they hide the document, why did they try to keep it, why did they keep it in a private home?" he said.

"That again raises the suspicion in our mind. Are there documents in other areas we haven't seen?"

The longer they are there, the more apparent it is that Saddam Hussein is in material breach of just about every UN resolution he's agreed to.

Jon, I think the term "axis of evil" fits the bill. I think Bush was right on the money when he said it. Historically most acts of terrorism has been funded from these countries in one way or the other.

Ho Chi Minh once said "the U.S. will be opposed by an enemy dedicated to total military victory... whatever the sacrifices, however long the struggle... until Vietnam is fully independent and reunified. This is why the US lost in Vietnam, because we didn't have this attitude.

For 25 years the US was afraid to commit to totally wiping out the VC because politically they were afraid to do it. You see, while we were busy banking on the 'good intentions' of Ho Chi Minh, he was busy readying his forces for the eventual take over of South Vietman.

The Spirit of Ho Chi Minh lives on in Saddam Hussein, Kim Jong Ill, Mulah Omar, and Khamenei. If any country sits back, and bank. on the 'good intentions' of those who wish us harm, they only do so at their own peril because the longer they wait, the more time these evil ones have to dig in, and have more potential to do more harm.

The war on terrorism will become another Vietnam if and only if we continue to pander the apologists for the axis of evil. The more the west delays on taking preemptive action against these, the worse it will be down the road.
