Umbrella please....

Dreary, wet, muddy.

That describes my weekend. I was supposed to go on a 56 mile ride with some buds on Saturday morning, but I found out Friday night that we had to be at a baseball game at 11:30, which really bit deep into my ride time.

I woke up Saturday morning to the sound of rain gently tapping the roof. As is my ritual, I went to the weather channel on the TV, and the radar showed a rather large green glob over area in which I live. The forecast was for rain all day.

The bike ride was canceled, but the game was not. It was a long, wet, and muddy game. And to make matters worse… we lost our fourth in a row. Last night we lost our fifth in a row. The team is in a tailspin. I have never seen them play as they have been over the early part of this season. As I’ve mentioned before, last year we finished in first place, and won some tournaments. We had great expectations for this season, but alas thus far it has been a great disappointment.

Coach John has had enough. These guys are not playing to the levels that we know they are capable of. The last two games they have played better, and last night was a 0-1 loss to one of the better teams in the league. So things are looking up.
