I had a doctor’s appointment this morning, and I found out that I may need a little surgery. About 8 years ago, I was out jogging on my lunch break, when I suddenly twisted or sprained my ankle. I never sought on medical attention; I simply stayed off of it for a few days. Since then I’ve always noticed that ankle cracks quite easily, but it was no big deal. Well over the last few months it has been cracking with every step I take, and over the last month has been starting to hurt when I walk. I explained this to the doctor, and he sent me for an X-ray… I have tendon damage around my ankle. He said that if I had attended to it 8 years ago, physical therapy probably would have done the trick, but since it’s been 8 years, I may need more drastic measures to correct it. The good news is that it is totally repairable, and it wouldn’t take much. But going under the knife… well, it just leaves me a little leery. We’ll see. Cheryl and the kids are on their way home from Myrtle Beach, and hope to be here tonight. It hasn’t been to bad being a bachelor for the last week, but I really hated sleeping alone. But they had a really good time, and I wished I could have been there with them. My three cats were good company though. I have 2 black cats. They had the same mom and dad, but they are a litter apart. The older one we call “Big Guy, or “Mr. Bigs”, and the younger one is “Little Guy”. The other cat is Gipper, whose name was originally Skipper, but was intentionally morphed into Gipper. He is a Siamese, and somehow skipper just doesn’t fit. Long story, maybe I’ll explain someday. I went to lunch today instead of cycling. *Hangs head in shame* But damn was that a good sandwich! Rick
